Forbidden foods.

Allah Almighty has forbidden believers from eating impure and unclean things. For example, the meat of dead animals, A Carnivorous beast or bird meat, pork, blood, and animals on which the name of Allah has not been mentioned when slaughtered. Or animals that have been slaughtered in the name of idols.

And one who has been killed by an animal, or by a wild beast. Or who has died from arrows before being slaughtered during hunting. These are all forbidden foods.

These forbidden foods are listed below.

Predatory Animals and Birds.

Those animals or birds that fall into the category of beasts. That is, those animals or birds that eat meat by tearing or scratching it. It is forbidden to eat the meat of these animals.

The meat of marine animals that fall into the category of predators, such as sharks and crocodiles are also forbidden.

Hunted Animals.

Animals or birds that have been killed by predators, or that have been partially eaten after being killed, are forbidden. (Haram)

Animals or birds that have been hunted but die before being slaughtered are also forbidden (haram).

Dead Animal.

Animals or birds that die naturally or by other means are “Haram” (forbidden). Examples include those that die from strangulation, are beaten to death, die from a fall from a height, die from being gored by horns, or are killed or partially eaten by wild animals are forbidden—except for those you have properly slaughtered (Zibh) before they died.

Animals that are not slaughtered in the name of Allah.

Animals or birds that have been slaughtered in the name of anyone other than Allah are forbidden.

Animals or birds that have been slaughtered but the name of Allah has not been mentioned while slaughtering are also forbidden.

Blood.

Flowing blood! Even the blood that flows when an animal is slaughtered in the name of Allah—is forbidden.

Pigs and vultures.

Pigs and vultures are scavengers; they are impure animals that feed on filth. Therefore, their meat is also forbidden.

The things God Almighty has forbidden for His servants are, in reality, for their well-being in this world and the Hereafter. Just as there is blessing and purity in what is lawful, Similarly, in avoiding the forbidden lies the security of faith and spiritual purity.

So, O Muslims, make your food lawful and wholesome, for the one who consumes what is unlawful does not have his worship accepted.

Poisonous insects or animals.

Animals or reptiles that are naturally and physically poisonous, such as snakes, scorpions, lizards, etc. These are creatures that are harmful to human health, so they are forbidden. Allah Almighty says: Eat the pure and wholesome things on earth, that is, those things that are not only lawful (Halal) but that eating them does not cause any negative changes in your mood, health, and physical balance.

That is why the Quran has forbidden (Haram) animals that are poisonous, impure, and eat filthy food, or are against human nature, so that the human body remains pure, the good heart, and the temperament moderate.
